Forced down by enemy fire over Hollywood, Capt Kelso was last seen off the Santa Monica Coast by two ground observer corps volunteers who watched Capt Kelso attempting to board a Japanese submarine...shouting "Turn this tub around! You're takin' me to Tokyo!"
