The Sky Dong of Okanogan County
November 17th, 2017, Okanogan County Washington residents were greatly upset by U S Navy aircraft activity in the skies above.
A contrail created by two junior officers with the “Zappers” of Electronic Attack Squadron 130 while operating in their EA-18G Growlers from NAS Whidbey Island appeared to have some slight imperceptible and perhaps coincidental semblance to male genitalia.
US Navy officials released a statement in response to the public outcry... “The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable.”
A Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson said that unless the act poses a safety risk, there is nothing they can do about. The official said they “cannot police morality.
Note from Sierra Hotel Aeronautics Staff: The formation of contrails is beyond the control of the pilots and is determined by prevailing atmospheric conditions, pressure, humidity, upper air currents and stability at altitude that can greatly affect the formation and location of condensation clouds left in an aircraft's wake."
